With a half-German family, a French best friend, and plans to study Japanese for the next 5 years, it’s GOT to happen sooner or later. I’d love to be fluent in all these languages.

I took up Dutch lessons when I lived in The Netherlands for 3 months back in the Fall. I could hold some basic conversations, but have a ways to go. Just need to settle on the language I want to be fluent in.

- that is a figure of speech! I’m not on a couch!
BUT, I haven’t gotten very far with the learning of a new language – just don’t have much time to study and can’t afford the high-end software that would be best for me. Plus, I have to be honest, I simply haven’t made it a priority. However, I have tried studying up on some spanish and italian … just don’t remember a damn thing except this!
I hope everybody has a Feliz Navidad!

I already am bilingual, but the other language I speak is not common in the U.S, so it’s really no use here.
But Spanish, however, would be so beneficial. So I’m on a mission now to teach myself Spanish!
Then maybe I can finally watch those Spanish soap operas, they look interesting.
I will revisit this goal in another language…..until, then I will give it a rest. Goodnight good intentions! Sweet dreams.
I’d love to become fluent in Japanese, although I’m sure there are more practical languages for me to learn.

I took about 4 years of French in high school, BUT I DON’T REMEMBER A DAMN THING, except maybe, Je t’aime Beaucoup = I love you, haha!
The hispanic culture is not only growing in the US, and the language very popular, but also I find this culture fascinating … so I would like to learn SPANISH.
In addition to that, I am part Italian, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CULTURE ….... so I would like to learn ITALIAN.
I’ll be set, unless I decide at that point I wish to learn more languages.
