become a UN ambassador

I want to help people in this world know that there are those that care about the welfare of others, even if they don’t live right next door. I don’t want children to go without love or food. I don’t want parents who really love their families to feel that they’re all alone in trying to make things work. I want to just help. I want to just be there for someone to lean on. This is what I want more than anything.

I am very worried about the situation in the world and the way powerful people are dealing with it. I am aware of the fact that I don’t have the power to change the world, but I want to do all I can. That’s the main reason why I want to become an UN ambassador. That way I could finally start helping.I hope I will be given the chance.

Ok, here’s the deal. I’m a high school freshman, going to become a sophmore next year. In Geography class we are talking about genocide (especially in Africa) and it really irritated me. Well…more than irritated me. I was ready to jump on a plane and fly over now and save those kids and help. But I can’t. Not enough money to get there, or knowledge to take down the man in charge. So. My problem is, the only way I can see to stop genocide or help prevent it better (at least take those down that are in charge) is to become involved in the UN, preferrably become an ambassador. Do you think that would work? I want to help. Now. I usually hate politics but I’m willing to put that behind me to help those that are being affected by genocide. This is one international topic that I can’t stand.
