jenuine please take a moment and read my entry to goal#1!
A bag
A blanket
A tank top
A dress
A jacket
Shorts
Pajama pants
Etc.
I just need to buy the materials.
And I don’t want them to be plain and boring; I want them to look like something I would buy in the store. :)

Smartkookie has located her passport, now time to use it.
Or get a new one. The one I have now is 40 or 50 years old, and was “injured” in a move. Since I don’t feel like sewing my skirt by hand, looks like I’ll be carting it to a repair shop for diagnosis.

Imagine how delightful to slip on a beautiful skirt you’ve cut and stitched yourself – especially if said skirt is constructed from previously worn clothing or some other recycled materials.
I began making clothes for my dolls when I was a little girl, and have been sewing ever since. I made baby clothes for my daughter, little sunsuits and matching bonnets, dresses for me, quilts that will be handed down to my grandchildren, all sorts of home decor items, and even a nifty cover for my stand mixer. It’s a great hobby, and one is thrilling in it’s process, and each time the created garment is worn or the item is used.

But I look in my closet and found the still unfinished skirt. I immediatly started working on it, although I had to study for exams. So I didn’t have the time to finish it. I will not give up though, I WILL accomplish this goal, and more importantly I want a nice skirt!

I made some progress, but it still is far from finished. May be I’ll work on it tonight, if not I’ll work on it this week. I want this skirt finished before spring starts!

Just tried it on, and it looks cool. Would have hardly fit me this time last year!

And perhaps if the first skirt project goes well I’ll do a few more. I’m thinking A-line or modified A-line for the skirt, most likely a cotton for the fabric and after that the sky’s the limit. Perhaps I’ll even go crazy and add some embroidery or pockets to the skirt. Or maybe an interest trim or crinoline. Or perhaps before I get too ahead of myself I need to get the pattern and some fabric first.
