kiss someone at midnight on new years eve

So my sniffles didn’t really go away, but they weren’t bad enough to keep me from going out. I told my date to kiss me at his own risk :) and he did! With nice friends from work, a champagne toast, little confetti poppers, and “party like it’s 1999” on the stereo. Good times!

so I have plans, a date, a party, etc. And I’m even building my own disco ball to make a kick ass dancefloor and set the mood. And this morning I woke up with a really sore throat!! It’s been going around my office for the last month and I have stayed very healthy. Why today?! Argh! I have to not be sick by tomorrow!

Here’s my plan: I’ve already started gargling with salt water. I will have vitamin C tablets every few hours. Drink LOTS of liquids. Have soup. Watch a funny movie or two—laughing boosts the immune system. Keep making my disco ball. No booze or smoky bar tonight. Although I do have a friend from out of town I’d like to visit with today. Tomorrow… we’ll see!
