After many, MANY expansive career hunts and loads of research, I now finally know: I want to be an optometrist. More than anything else. It’s gonna get tough with all the competition and only one optometry school in this country, but I know I can do it.

How I did it: I always thought I'd end up doing something really artsy or crafty but what I ended up choosing is diagnostic medical cardiac sonography (taking sonograms of the heart). I've been trying and trying to decide what I should do but I could never make up my mind. When I first went to see my college adviser he suggested this and as I thought about it more and more I finally decided to do it. Read how I did it… 18 months ago

I know I have time to decide and change my mind but it’ll make things a lot easier if I at least have a major, for now at least.
