now I am thinking that the major should be anthropology, but for philosophical reasons.

;)

Engage with differences that they normally do not experience in everyday life and, rather than simply tolerating (or being threatened by) them, use these differences as an engine for their own personal growth as citizens in a global world.
Understand – through the use of contextual analysis and comparison – the political and cultural frames of reference that shape their perceptions and behaviors in everyday life – the hegemonies that shape our understandings.
Gain the analytical and presentational skills to conceive of and demonstrate more just and compassionate visions of reality.
Feel empowered – both personally and with the tools of analysis necessary – to carry out the above goals or, to phrase it another way, to feel motivated to actively and effectively engage with the world around them in socially productive ways.

HP I just like the way they stated that.

Worth doing!

I have never been so obsessed, fascinated, mystified, or appreciative of any other subject. Now that I’ve found my calling, I don’t know why it wasn’t obvious from the very start. It may sound cheesy, but finding a major that you are passionate for, is one of the most euphoric sensations in all the world.

i’ve always wanted to be a tescher when i was a kid, but now i’m not so sure if i can do it. i’m not loud, outgoing, or organized for that matter. I love food, cooking, and science and i’m hoping to find something in food & nutrition that will work.
