Last night I went to see The Flying Dutchman by Robert Wagner at the Royal Theatre in Victoria. I have to say, I was expecting more, however, this opera was composed early in his career, so it’s understandable. It was neat to hear the introduction of elements that he would later become known for (ie. leitmotifs). 19 months ago
