Now I want to get back to living again. It’s been a long year filled with things that have distracted me from living MY life. :(
I want to have my meal at the beach – hopefully today. I bought a motorcycle recently and today should be a perfect California motorcycling day! Time to head up PCH and catch lunch at some little hole in the wall. Or take a hike up the Arroyo. And I am embarrassed to say that I still haven’t been to the Pasadena Library…
Since I have done many of the 43 items on my list, only a few remain that I should be able to accomplish by the end of April.
The remaining goals fall into 3 groups:
eathing food
visiting someplace
and
doing something.
The library, Norton Simon and the Gamble house are my visiting places. Eating is macnut pancakes, pizza, See’s candy and a meal at the beach. Doing something is hiking, hosting a party, having people over for dinner, etc. I’d better get to work on this.
The first part has been accomplished and it went well. At least the person who was supposed to get the joke finally did. And he thought it was funny. (Of course the word “felon” kept creeping into his conversation…) He was only kidding, I hope.
Anyway part two should be accomplished this weekend. This will be interesting because I don’t think that other people will find it as amusing as we do. Oh well, no harm, no foul.
I like this goal. It’s fun and it’s interesting so that I can do something and not feel guilty for going to Happy Hour or eating ice cream (both accomplished this week). Yes, an excuse to eat ice cream or drink a tropical drink is great. I should keep recycling this goal though I may need to cut down on the eating junk food goals or I’ll have to add a lot more exercise goals. :)
Even though I haven’t finished my list I have been making progress on having fun. Eating cotton candy (needs to be fresh, not packaged), going to KFC, playing with the cats, are completed. I think I need to add more activities to my list…
36. Go to a baseball game.
37. Buy some new clothes.
38. Eat lunch in the cafe at work.
39. Eat popcorn!
40. Try a new dessert
41. Use my pogo stick
42. Talk with someone at work I haven’t talked with in a long time.
43. Do something really off the wall at work. :)
I did get my unicycle out of the garage the other day and washed it off and rode it. I have been riding it for a few minutes every night since it’s so hot during the day. I need a new tire though as the one on it is shot!
I also ate a caramel apple and it was delicious! Yum! It was perfect – a crisp green apple, caramel wasn’t too sweet and lots of almonds. I want another one it was so good.
Besides the apple I had a fufu coffee drink – coconut, banana frappacino. It was good even though I wouldn’t think of putting coffee and banana together.
I tried to paly with the cats but there were too many interested in playing all at once. Too confusing. So I need to separate the cats and let them play a few at a time. They enjoyeed the little bit of time we spent playing.

I had a malt today. Not the best but it was a malt. And then I ate at a new restaurant this evening – Tokyo Wako. It was alright, my food was overcooked, but I love Japanese food so I was still happy to eat there.
And since I started this list, I had lunch with Jim, again. I enjoy listening to him talk in a less formal situation, like lunch.
I will not accomplish my goal of doing 2 triathlons in June. I did one but I bailed on the second one. I can move this goal to July or even August. I really need to train more before I try to accomplish that goal.
And I can also cross off goal 17. But it was fun so I am going to keep it on there for the summer.
