Shiko is great… I went down in April (the off-season) to Ikumi Beach to take a surfing lesson and play in the waves. Very friendly, laid-back people and a lot of craggy mountains to get lost in. Might be a good idea to rent a motorbike, though as that public transportation just isn’t there. Hitchhiking might work (only did it once and was successful). 6 years ago
