I have run 10km on my own but i think that i could run it in a faster time if I was int eh competition setting.
How to run a 10km race
How I did it: I ran the tough 10km in Bramshill Forest - I ran with my brother. He finished 7th, but I was not tooooo far behind in 23rd, (out of 93). My time was a very respectable 52mins... Well chuffed!

I’m training inside, on the stepper, 20 – 25 minutes every other day. In the days I don’t train on the stepper, I ride the bicycle outside for about 40 minutes. I want to be able to run 10 km. When I’ll be able to do that, I want to participate in a marathon. For now, I don’t know how much I can run without stopping or fainting. Last time I checked it was 2.5km steady easy run, probably could have done more, but I was feeling awkward running alone. I’ll try to ignore that feeling or find someone to run with.
For the moment, I’ll keep training on the stepper until I can easily do 40 minutes, then I’ll try to run 5km and see if I can.
I managed to run 7.25km today, it took me 1hr and 1 minute. Getting towards the 10km distance.
11 weeks until my 10km race!
I have entered into a 10km race on the 11th of October. At the moment I run about 5km and it took me about 2 months to get to that stage so i think by the time the race comes i will be able to complete it. This is my fitness goal for the moment. And I will achieve it :)
I would like to run in a 10km race before the end of the school year. I find running makes me feel better and gives me more energy in all parts of my life.
I didn’t run an actual race, but I finally completed the 10KM distance (in ~1:10 minutes). Now I’ve moved on to training for the half marathon here in Victoria that takes place in October.
When I wrote this it seemed almost unsurmountable and yet now it comes almost easily! FABULOUS!
yeah did a couple better.
ran a 21km half marathon and now routinely run 5km a day
I have identified the race that will be run…now I have to register and run it…I suspect it will take significant mental as well as physical energy to do this and i’m finding myself dreaming about the challenge…
