Have Lasik Surgery

... for the forseeable future. This kind of depended on being able to finance it. My credit rating is trashed after my year of unemployment and coming a hairsbreadth from losing my house, so it will have to wait ‘till I’ve pulled things together a bit more.

There were some complications and both eyes were done at different times, but it was SO worth it. My left eye is still in the healing process. A also ended up having ASA laser surgery instead of LASIK which I am happier with.

May 9th is my appointment. I can’t have Lasik, but I’m getting Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA)which will do the same thing only without the need to cut a slab of my eyeball. In less than a month I will be contact/glasses free!!

My sister in law is getting lasik in 10 days and I am super jealous. When I go to get my contacts I will schedule a consultation. I wonder if my eyes have stablized yet. Guess I will find out at my consultation.

Did the free evaluation thing with an opthamologist and it is going to be super expensive for me to have this done 8-10 thousand. Unfortunately, simple procedures are out for me and I really need double lens replacements. Despite the extreme cost, I am determined to see this through. Looking into finance options even though this clashes with my new debt free philosophy.

I will ask about it again and see what I need to do. They have free consultations at the eye doctor I saw. It is pretty pricey but I think it would be worth it. Doesn’t hurt to check it out.

Put an end to my seeing problems!

I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 2nd grade and I am nearly 30 now. I think it would be so awesome to not have to rely on glasses and contacts. It does scare me a bit the thought of a freakin laser beam on my eyeball. I will have to do some research.

My poor, pitiful eyes. I have essentially waited 46 years for this and this year is my chance.
