Most of the French I’ve learned is forgotten, it certainly needs a refresh.

I would like to be fluent in French

Not far from the France borderline, and I just got a set of CDs “to learn French” in the hopes that it will help me refresh my French.

The one time I have been to Paris I discovered that my once fluent French was at best barely functional. That bugged me. It’s gotta change!

Been AGES since I did anything in French…totally forgetting everything.

But I had VERY good teachers and learned more than 3 years worth…by the end of year 2 we were reading “Les Pensees du Pascal” and portions of “Les Miserable”...and understanding it!
Now I’m back to “J’entre dans la classe, J’ouvre le livre de Francais, je cherche la lecon, je trouve la page, j’etudie la lecon, je ferme le livre.” That was the first chapter, first book! I still remember it, so all is not lost!
I’d like to go to France, maybe next year and have better understanding and be able to parlez qu’un peu.
I think I’ll get something – lessons on cd?

damn i took five years of french and its all gone, gone!!

Lorsque j’etais en lycee, je parlais couramment francais. Cela n’est plus vrai.
