My boyfriend gave me driving lessons last weekend. I got all the way to fourth gear. Yeah! Just fifth and reverse left!

going to have to put this one on hold for awhile, as I don’t have any car available to learn on. :(
we bought a new car so I would be FORCED to learn and it’s not as bad as I thought! it takes a few weeks to get the hang of it and a little frustration, fear and abuse on your instructor, but worth it for sure
I learned how to drive stick as soon as I got my new car and I already taught Brandon how to! Woooo! We are wayyyyy good at it! Gosh we’re amazing.
I started learning. In a flat parking lot with no one around and all the time in the world. And it was still REALLY hard. I really don’t know how I’m ever going to be good enough to do that in traffic…
kaid1 is sleepface.
So this was kind of cheating. I saw the goal, and since I just learned in the past two months, adopted and immediately completed it.
I recently obtained a new Toyota Tacoma through a series of rather unfortunate events. I guess it should never be unfortunate when one obtains a new vehicle, but I liked my old one and feel bad about having to sell it. Anyway, this new truck is a stick shift, and I’m FINALLY getting a chance to learn to drive it. It sucks right now because I’m at school and I never get to practice, but soon enough I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.
...but it is so worth doing. You get so much more feedback, so much more connection to your driving, and honestly, it’s not that hard really. If you can learn to ride a manual motorbike, you can definitely learn a manual car.
