Baby is 10 weeks old and 100% on the boob. I knew the benefits of breastfeeding before I had him, so I made a plan to do it for a year and then reevaluate whether or not I wanted to keep going. If it weren’t for that, I might have given up. Once you get passed the painful nipples and you’re confident that your baby is eating enough, it’s really easy. By the time a year comes up, I’ll probably keep going as longs as baby wants to.

JahRose is offically unemployed, I'm anxious, stressed, but overall happy!
I breastfed my son for 22 months 11 days and my daughter for 14 months!
I was worth every cracked nipple! LOL
He’s 6 months and still on the boob. =p We’re starting solid foods tomorrow!
..and we are still going strong. My one year old son is asleep and nursing in my lap right now. It’s been rough at times, but incredibly satisfying.
My son is eight months old and he is still breastfeeding. I have no doubts we will make it to one year. He eats solids every day except when he is teething and refuses to open his mouth. His diet is still mostly breastmilk, which is thriving on. Breastmilk is amazing.
We’re at six months and still going strong! My son is still 100% breastfed, as we haven’t introduced solids yet other than a small taste once or twice. I’m so happy we’ve come this far, and I plan to continue until my son decides HE is ready to wean.
“A baby nursing at a mother’s breast… is an undeniable affirmation of our rootedness in nature.” ~David Suzuki
This is exactly how I feel about breastfeeding. It is beautiful and the most natural thing I have ever felt or done.

My 11 week old little boy has a HUGE appetite and loves to eat frequently. He was 11lbs. 12oz. at his two month well baby visit. He’s definitely come along way from the 5lb. 15oz. baby I gave birth to!
He eats often during the day (every 1-2 hours), but he usually sleeps well at night. We co-sleep and I just pull him over when he is hungry, so I’m not sure how often he nurses at night, but it’s about 3 times only one side at a time.
We started giving him the occasional bottle at 8 weeks. He gets maybe 3 of them a week when my SO and I have our date night.
He’s growing FAST. Everyday, I look at him in amazement at how much he has changed just from the previous day. His 3-6 month clothing fits him perfectly; one day he seemed to grow a ton and he didn’t fit into his 0-3 month clothes anymore. He started smiling about a month ago and in the past week he’s been giggling. He coos and thinks he is talking to you.
It’s still going well aside from his desire to eat 24/7. In fact, he’s eating right now as I type one-handed. When he unlatches and falls asleep, I will put him down and he will cry no more than 20 mins later. My supply can barely keep up with him, as it never has time to regenerate.
We offered a bottle to him recently at eight weeks old, and he took to it wonderfully. Tomorrow we are going out for some adult time for the first time since my son was born (that’s 2 stressful months!). We have not been able to leave him for more than two hours at a time, & with his appetite even that is difficult to do. But I’ve been pumping once a day to build up a good supply for an evening out. I’m looking forward to it!! I’m truly getting frazzled with having NO time to myself for so long.
Breastfeeding is still going well. It’s getting easier as time goes by. Leo is almost four weeks old already! & he’s been exclusively breastfed so far aside from some formula that was finger-fed to him a couple times in the hospital. He was jaundice and not getting enough milk from me yet :(
We’re learning how to breastfeed laying down so I don’t have to drag myself up and out of bed at night. It makes things a lot easier. Sleep deprivation is the worst part of it all. I never have run well on too little sleep.
