My first Ami was done by instinct- a knowledge of a simple circle plus some minor hat making knowledge – I made a cute li’l bug. For more “serious” stuff I got a book- seriously cute crochet. Anything in there is do-able. I’ve made the mug and octopus thus far.

I made a little octopus while riding in the car the other day… I still have to put on the eyes and mouth, but for the most part it’s complete.
Gonna get motiviated to make some more complex dolls. Can’t wait!

I must learn how to crochet amigurumi. There is too much cuteness not to learn how to do this craft.
I’m waiting for a book on amigurumi to come to my library, and then the learning begins.
Can’t wait to post my first project!

This was finished late last night, or maybe early this morning.
It’s from Mr Funky’s Super Crochet Wonderful. I put him on my bedside table when I went to bed, and when E woke up this morning it didn’t take her long to spot him, judging by the eagerness with which she clambered over my head to get him.
“oooh, who’s that?” said S
“Mwaarteen” she said
Martin it is then
