The back deck to our mid-80s house is really showing its age, so over Memorial Day weekend we’re going to sand it down with a belt sander I borrowed from a co-worker. Then we’re going to prime and paint it. Hopefully a couple hours a day over three days should do the trick.

I really wanted to turn this deck into a three-seasons room, but it’s not in the budget.

Life ought to be fun, but often I’m too serious and don’t smile much.
