maybe jogging has been taken over by swimming. There’s a marl-icious quarry pit about an hour’s bike from where I live, and I’ve made the trip two weeks in a row. Swimming is fun, and upper body strength is more immediately important to me anyway.

I’m biking, and I said this wouldn’t happen so long as I could bike. But I feel like I still have energy to burn, and I saw a Run for Rights poster today. I think I might have just enough time to get in shape for the 5k.
What’s standing in my way is the lack of shoes. I have a lot of goals I want to accomplish more than this one, and many of them cost money as well. Might not be the wisest investment…

This will not happen in the winter, and it probably won’t happen while I’m biking.

This is easier if you and a friend start off walking, then build upto jogging. After a few months, you will be addicted, with a friend or no friend. Gives you more confidence and will make you healthier.

I suppose getting started is the hardest part and once I start I should be able to keep it up

Reaching this goal is spurring me toward my next—running a 5k before my birthday next year!
