pay off my credit card

So I have 300+ bucks left on it. Not a large amount but my weekly paycheck is crap and I have bills to pay. Could probably get it off by the end of August if I waste NO money and have my housemate pay for most of the grocery this upcoming month.

Worth doing!

This morning I deposited the money that will cover the last of my credit card debt at the bank and scheduled the payments online. They’ll go through tomorrow and show up by Saturday morning. But my work is finished! I just have to maintain the low-to-zero balances.

This was a biggie

Yeah me!!!!

=D

All paid!!!  — 1 day ago

My credit card is now completely paid off, hopefully I can keep it that way.

BIG ONE: $2,588
1.9%: $1,800

Saved up: $1,600.

I’m moving in a couple of weeks and need actual money for the deposit and first months rent. And since I wont have a real job then until goodness knows when I need to prepare for living AT LEAST one month with my actual money (and not rely on my cc’s!!!!!)

August expenses:
BIG ONE: $100
1.9%: $50
DENTAL EXPENSE: $250

My credit card bill currently stands at £2682.13 but I’m working on reducing it. I’ve got a 0% balance transfer card coming through which will eliminate added interest for the next 15 months, plus I’m throwing any money left over at the end of the month at it. Hopefully, with some discipline and determination, I’ll have the card paid off by this time next year.

Big card is all paid off.

Little card had $475.5 on it for a plane ticket.
Just made a $280.5 payment.

Only $195 to go!

....I think I’m gonna count coins this weekend. That usually puts a decent dent in it.

about paying it off, but the expenses of a recent move have made this a necessary goal.

Trying..  — 1 week ago

I am trying really hard to do this. I have three credit cards. My highest bill, I am paying $120 every month until it is gone, and not putting any new charges on.

My two others that are a lot lower, I am just paying double the minimum until they are gone. Also, not putting more on those. It was hard while I was in school, I wasn’t able to work enough hours so put everything on my cards. Now, I am working a lot more and don’t need to put anything on them anymore. After they are done, I’m tempted to just cut them up and never use them again, after the stress they have caused me!

But, I can’t say I regret it – while I was in college, I had many opportunities to do things with my friends and have a lot of fun times, even though I didn’t always have enough money. As long as I accept responsibility for this now, I can’t say that I regret doing this. I may have spent money I didn’t have, but now I am paying it back, and I had a lot of great experiences in college to show for it. If I had never used credit cards, I would have been staying at home in my dorm room a LOT more often than I did! Going to school in NY is expensive, and now I’m dealing with it… but it was definitely worth it.

So close – $300 away from eliminating credit card debt. It’s tough when you’re a student. Hopefully I can get it under control before the start of the fall semester. And then to tackle my line of credit and eventually student loans.
