I’ve spent most of my adult life overweight, then obese, now morbidly obese and currently have a BMI of ~41. After my weight loss surgery, and with the help of healthy eating, exercise, and support/therapy, I hope to be back in the ‘normal’ range once again, and stay there for the rest of my life.

I was at 180 pounds last November. I’m 5’ 2.5 and I wanted to be average weight, because I wanted to weigh 137.
I am down to about 132 now. My bmi is about 23.
I did this by eating very healthy, from-the-earth foods that weren’t overprocessed. No chips or fast food, instead fruit and vegetables. I stopped eating meats that were processed in any way, and only ate fresh meat. I the healthy amount of water everyday. I cut most of the soda out of my diet. Maybe one cup a day, at the most.
The excersize that I did, other than the occasional work out, was dancing to music I like, and I’ve started to tone my body very, very nicely.
I still have work to do, as far as toning goes. I have to stop biting my nails!

dieting was screwing with my head. i think for me it’s better to try and focus on healthy eating and exercise and not to worry about it all too much.

Today (27 Feb 09) my BMI is 29.7 (157.3 lbs). My goal is 24.9 (132 lbs). I’d like to reach this before June 1st. My ultimate goal is lower but I’d like to start off the summer at a healthy weight.

i weighed in for the first time on 21st jan 09. at 5’3” and 12st 7pounds that was a BMI of 30.8 – oh dear, that’s just into the obese range! scary!
jan 28th – 12 stone and 1/2 a pound – BMI 29.6
feb 4th – 11 stone 11 pounds – BMI 28.9
feb 11th – 11 stone 8 1/2 pounds – BMI 28.5
so far so good. just have to keep it up. i’m aiming initially for
10 stone 1 pound, which would put me just under 25. then hopefully on to somewhere in the middle of the healthy weight range, say about 9st (22.2). But we’ll see how that goes.

My BMI was almost 28 some weeks ago. It’s about 27 now, and I’ll try to keep a moderate diet to reduce it slowly but steadily. One point down, at least another 2 to go.

Will I aim for 25? That’s a weight of 70.6kg. Maybe. I’ll think about that…
Actually, I may find it happens anyway. That’s how my last 8 months of weight loss have worked.

In the last five months, I’ve brought it down from 32.4 to 30.3
That’s so close to the landmark 30. Not far to go…
