astinson wait and see - JK - let's do this thing!
Free tagging has a lot of upsides, but I think there’s room for a site that applies a little more structure to the taxonomy (in other word, not a folksonomy). I think a lot of knowledge gets lost when so many people unwittingly add one-off goals and splinter the knowledgebase.
I’ve been using this site, love it and think it’s a fantastic wonderful idea, but I think too much knowledge is buried and lost. It could be so much more helpful to folks.
I do advanced Drupal website development which offers plenty of social networking features out-of-the-box. I could create a site like this in a fairly short amount of time. Promoting it and getting inertia is another story. Having millions of people (even if the site is flawed) is a huge advantage.
Anybody interested in a site where your common goals are combined with ALL others of your kind?

You want a popular website then offer something that other need for free…
Yes for free, don’t believe me, just have a look at all the popular website including this site…
But here what you should watch out for:
1- hosting servers, if your website is getting popular then you need to always upgrade your servers and that can cost you money, but hopefully you generate some income from advertising…
2- Spam. Any free services attract spam so try to find something to decrease it & fight it.
3- How to manage & administer a site. It will take you a big amount of time if you do it alone.
Good luck
