see aurora borealis (the Northern Lights)

I’m hoping to do this when i go to Iceland with school, but we’re not sure if we will because it’s not the perfect time for it. Fingers crossed

there were some light pinkish purple streaks of borealis here in the sky after the lunar eclipse. It was awesome and makes me want to see the full thing in a huge perspective that much more!

they are breathtaking. such a beautiful, colorfull display of nature. best in the back of a pick-up truck, out in the country all by yourself.

I used to see this a LOT where I grew up in a small town in Northern Wisconsin. I didn’t know it was a rare sight when I was little, and my mom would point it out.
