I got a kitty last month and named it Max. But then I realized that I was extremely allergic to him so we had to give him away after a week. It was very hard and sad to give him away but I had to :( I miss the kitty.
How I did it: 6/?/09- I went out and needed something low maitenence that my parents wouldn't care about. So I got a hermit crab when we went to the beach. I named him dennis and he is very active and fun to watch.

Living In God's Exquisite, Miraculous Sufficiency hasn't had time to be on 43T. Been busy with life.
We have 3 dogs. Before that, we had 5 dogs, but 1 we had to send to the Humane Society as it was becoming aggressive, kept getting out of the yard and was too old, where no one wanted him. The other died of old age.

All the pets I personally had at one time or the other include 1 dog, 3 parakeets, and 3 cats. The cats are my favorites. I wish I could have an African Gray parrot, too.
Although I really don’t like dogs – I’ve wanted one for about 5 years…and I finally bought one about 1 1/2 month ago after, literally, years of research. This is not a decision that should be made lightly – it is a long term commitment. The first 2 weeks were HARD! Sleepless nights, some frustration…not to scare anyone from getting a pet. BUT – I’m now in week 6 and things have gotten much much better. I’m constantly amazed at how much he makes me laugh…
you don’t know the true meaning of “unconditional love” until you’ve owned a pet
My co-workers found a parakeet in the parking lot at work. I now have a birdie.
I have always had pets at home when I lived with my parents, but I moved out and living in a home without a pet was just not very pleasant. It was then that my boyfriend bought me two gorgeous boy rats. Their names are Osiris and Anubis. They are gorgeous! And if people ever tell you that rats are stinky and horrible, don’t listen to them. They are clean, affectionate and very friendly and I wouldn’t change them for the world.
Owning a pet is very rewarding.
His name was Bernard. He ran away from me when I tried to explain to him about different types of dog food. There is biscuits, dry food with vegetables, dry food without vegetables, wet food with meat, wet food without meat, porridge and treats.
He was hit by a car. He had a smile on his face.
