Finish Final Fantasy XII

I’ve had EXTREMELY bad luck with this game.

The first time through, my Basch got glitched and wouldn’t stay alive. Basically he magically had “Reflect” cast on him in permanent status, and this was before the Opal Ring was available so I couldn’t use Magiks through Reflect….. I restarted.

Second time through, around sixty or so hours into the game, Basch gets glitched again. (I had JUST saved over both my save files… and of course, realized afterwards Basch was glitched) I manage to save him with the Opal Ring (it still messes up the gambits, which made it super annoying but W/E)... Magically about twenty hours later, Basch is in the clear. OMFG. Yayy Basch. I save, and walk into the next area and start upgrading shit.

Thats when I realize fuckin’ Vaan is glitched now.

And then I had my baby, so I don’t really have a lot of time to play. But once things get settled… I am currently…. I don’t remember… OH! I’m on my way to Giruvegan and I’m doing a whole bunch of side-quests on teh way.

Huh, it’s already been a year since I last wrote about TRYING to finish this game. Haven’t really played much since … well, last year. I made a resolution to finish at least five games in 2009 though, and now that I graduated from school I should have enough time to dedicate to games.

But first I need to finish up Persona 3.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve played FFXII. I should dust off my PS2 and start up again.

But slowly. It isn’t wowing me like the others did.

Hmmm, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for now, and get through it. Hopefully it will change my mind and I’ll fall in love with it like I did the others…

I bought FFXII ages ago, but then I got sidetracked by Kingdom Hearts II and university work (not exactly a sidetrack I know, but it feels like it sometimes) and the long and short of it is that I had to give it up.

But the holidays are here so I’m going to cram as many hours in as possible.

After I have stolen my brother’s copy of KHII to get past the bit that keeps freezing on mine, and finished that. This might take a while…

It’s so close I can taste it! Just two hunts (Yiazmat ack) and Bahamut to go~!

I sunk over 100 hours into the game before I broke up with the owner of both the game and ps2. No more FFXII for me… until I get my own that is. On the bright side I can play revenant wings on my DS until then. It’s good except for the spoilers >.<

Can I really call myself a gamer anymore? I’ve had this game for so long, and I haven’t even touched it for three months now, and now I’m giving up!

At least for now. Gosh…I really hope this isn’t a sign that I’m growing out of playing games? That doesn’t even make sense! I’m trying to break into the gaming industry for goodness sake!

As I give up on goal after goal, I realized just how heavy a burden student loans can be. I don’t have hours to play rpgs (the only way to do it) right now because I have, gasp other responsibilities! Like work, and looking for work, so I can have a better paying job and etc…

I’ll get back to it though, because it is fun! I refuse to grow too old and bitter to play games :P

The game play I know is horribly boreing at times, but the end boss can surpriseingly be fun and hard. That is if you don’t spend to much time leveling up, you will just make things dull and easy then.

Serisouly keep your levels low and go into the last battle, you will freaking love it!

Ok this is officially the first Final Fantasy game I’ve gotten bored of.
