My neighbors always used to make sun tea during the summers and now I wish I did too.

You don’t need the fancy sun tea jar with the little spout with flowers painted on it. I just used one of our earth quake gal of water that had expired( How the hell does water expire?) I put in 6 decaf tea bags with the tags hanging out & replaced the cap, to keep the bugs out. (You may want to put in up to 12 if you like your tea strong) I put it in the sun until I saw the water turn to tea! I read that if you leave it too long you can build up bacteria :P You can put the whole thing in the fridge to “brew” some more. Carefully take out the bags & squeeze them one at a time( you don’t want them to break & leave little tea leaves floating around, yucky. I like to add Stevia from Trader Joe’s to sweeten it. Pour over ice. Enjoy.

it was ok overall 3 years ago

I’d say the sun tea turned out alright. It was a little on the lighter side for iced tea but I guess that is the point of sun tea in the first place compared to boiled iced tea.
