meet an author

i think authors i’ve seen are entertaining and funny. i would imagine authors to be a lot more quiet and serious though.

i find it amusing to see the audience really eager to laugh at their jokes, and clap enthusiastically…

i guess authors are the celebrities that no one writes scandals on, instead critics pick them apart…

I saw 1) Sherman Alexie. 2) Jonathan Lethem.

met Pat Conroy. I went to hear him speak in NC, he’s got a great sense of humor.

He’s the author of Morevi. I met him at the Book ‘Em event at our school last year, and he was awesome! I was volunteering for the event and was assigned to be his “helper” ;) He was great, and very, very funny.

I met Helie Lee, author of Still Life With Rice a bunch of times. I’ve also met Chris Casey, author of The Hill On The Net.

I’ve met several authors over the years and its’ always fascinating to hear them talk about writing their book. The ways that the author comes up with characters and the story is fascinating.
