Hat
For the hat I will be using this pattern in an attempt to recreate the second hat from the left.

Will need one as I would like to make this a court possible outfit. Will probably be using the same pattern that I used for the Entari.

Not nessecary but there is one in the picture. This will probably be an afterthought.
There is a possiblity of using this pattern if I can figure out how to make the nessacary changes. For instance using one of the alternative sleeve patterns.

Hirka/Chircka: A Hirka is a type of cardigan or under coat. This layer goes over the chemise. I have seen theories where the hirka is the undercoat and goes only to the waist and then in some theories they go to the floor.
Using a off white lightweight linen that I acquired from London. I will be attempting this using the pattern shown here http://home.earthlink.net/~lilinah/Rashid/extant_kamiz.gif
So I am starting with the Pants / Trousers – Shalwar also written salwar (s-cedilla), salvar, or shalvar. The test pair is made out of grey cotton, using the pattern provided by this site.
http://home.earthlink.net/~lilinah/Rashid/salwar.gif
The idea is to reproduce this picture in red and green.
The woman on the center-right wears white gomlek and shalvar (which appear to be of very soft material), a blue patterned chirka (see the sleeves), an orange entari with short “wing” sleeves, a dark blue yelek with no sleeves, and yellow leather bootees
gömlek—under tunic – White linen
çakshir – under pants – Going to use my bloomers
chirka—short under jacket – Red cotton
....... – small cap – Small pillbox type
shalvar – trousers – White Linen
entari—basic fitted coat – Green Jacquard
yelek —short outer jacket – Red
kaftan—loose ceremonial coat – Red and Gold
....... – small sheer white “veil” on back of head
shoes —low leather boots
So I have located some sites that should help:
http://home.earthlink.net/lilinah/directory.html
http://www.geocities.com/anahita_whitehorse/ottofemcloth.html
http://home.earthlink.net/lilinah/Costuming/OttomanLinks.html
And for some sort of visual clue:
So I have decided I obivously don’t have enough grandiose plans so I came up with another one. Ottoman Turkish. I think I would like this one for Fall Coronation. That would be late August.
