Buy a black MacBook

Alright, let’s run the checklist:

Pros:
I find it utterly stunning
I’m a web developer and I don’t have a personal laptop yet
It would be useful for testing and such
I find it utterly stunning

Cons:
People might mistake me for a Mac fan boy
It might be the first big step towards becoming a Mac fan boy
If I start going on about how amazing my Apple is, I’d have to punch myself in the face.
I’m forced to use Apples at work from time to time, and I utterly despise the O/S (it feels Mickey Mousey and cluttered – though I haven’t tried Leopard much yet)
Oh yeah, it’s going to be $2,000 to get the thing running (yes, I would take the upgrades)

Looks like I’m continuing to hold off.

I have other, more important things I need to spend money on now (...like rent). Booo :(

I just got my black macbook a couple days ago and I am typing on it right now! It is sweeeet.

Do it up and get one!

BTW, the price for the black macbook doesn’t come down to just color. The 80g white goes for $1299 and the 120g black goes for $1499. If you were to upgrade the white to 120g the price would be $1449. So it’s really only a $50 difference. Not too bad for an awesome looking computer AND you get a much bigger hard drive.

So I figured out that I’ll definitely have enough money to buy a black macbook before I leave for Japan… but then what’s the point? I already have my new Dell, and even though I’m a dork and use more than one laptop at school, taking 2 laptops to Japan is kind of excessive… not to mention my host family probably won’t even have internet in their house. Booooo.

Guess I’ll have to wait unti I get back :\

It is soooooo worth the extra couple hundred dollars. I want one so bad!!!
