make the rents proud

As a 3rd year medical student, I’ve learnt basic life support, but only ever practiced it on a dummy – Resucie Anne. Last Sunday, before my University Chamber Orchestra concert, a member of the audience collapsed. It took me a few minutes to get myself together, and thank God there was a doctor in the orchestra, but before I knew it, there I was, performing CPR on a real person, trying to keep him alive.

Sadly, there was nothing we could do for him. But my parents are very proud of me:)

I will always always feel as though I am a disappointment to them, but they insist they are proud and will be always, so I’m scratching this item off my list.

They’re not going to be so proud of that now, are they?
