My first attempt at raising bonsai trees was short-lived. The plants were in decent shape after transplanting and even after the first round of pruning. A couple warm days and an improperly formulated soil mixture resulted in irreversible drying of the trees and their eventual death. I need to do better research before potting new trees this spring.
