I helped gather up and wash the kid’s clothes that were covered with cat fur. This is good because my wife is alergic to cats.

This holiday... 8 months ago

I’ve helped a great deal more than normal this holiday, partly due to the fact that my Mum hasn’t been very well.

After a little heart to heart, it’s shown to me I definitely need to help out more, so that’s what I’m going to do. This goal is very important so let’s get it sorted!

Small tasks... 8 months ago

Just yesterday I did the washing up and made lunch… it doesn’t really seem like anything big, but these are jobs that would otherwise have to be done my Mum… and I’m sure she is tired of always having to do them!

I’m just going to contribute a little more each day to relieve my parents of their daily chores.

Being appreciative 9 months ago

I was having a good ol’ heart to heart with my friend earlier about morals and the like… anyways, as we were talking she mentioned how her New Year’s Resolution is to be a better ‘child’, which got me thinking.

I don’t really enough to help my parents out. They do a great deal for me, and yet I don’t help out where I could so easily do so. Small tasks like doing the washing up, or cooking the dinner don’t take too much of my time, and when Mum or Dad come home from a heavy day at work, these are the last things they want to be doing.

Mum started doing the washing up earlier, and as I was waiting for my pizza to cook, I decided to help out. It was nice to see she appreciated that I had decided to help, but also highlighted that I definitely don’t do enough; she was slightly surprised to see me pick up the dish cloth… lets get this sorted out!

don't feel like it's apriciated 12 months ago

When I do help out around the house I feel like it’s not really apriciated.
Today I put allot of effort into doing the dishes putting everything away cleaning the kitchen and bringing in the washing off the line so that my mum didn’t have too much to do when she came in from work. but all I got was a “who did the washing up?”
“me”
“oh thanks”
maybe I won’t bother next time
