How to make it through high school

High School Experiences I’ve had so far:
-Boyfriend, dating, and first kiss.
-First school dance with boyfriend.
-Being dumped and then watching that same boyfriend go out with another girl.
-Being sexually harassed and bullied by assholes/school jocks.
-Over-achievement, competitiveness, bloated egos, and nasty gossip (on both sides) about who got what position on a team.
-First chance at leadership.
-First foray into the wild world of career oriented cutthroat competition (band) that is so pervasive in Corporate America.
-Tests that you actually have to study for.
-Being able to pick my own classes.
-Realizing that “popularity” is a concept that should be left at the door on the way out from Middle School and, for the most part, has.
-First school-wide protest of an unfair rule (we won.)
-Realizing that people who were idiots in Middle School are now okay.
-Realizing that some people got worse.
Things I have yet to experience:
-AP classes
-HW ‘till midnight
-Dating someone for more than 2 months
-Being in Jazz I
-Being able to drive
-Prom.
-College Prep/Applications
-PSAT/SAT
-Losing my virginity
