:D
I got an undergraduate research position for the summer doing neurobiology and behavioral pharmacology research with planaria. The professor I’ll be working under seems really nice and laid back and I think it will be so interesting. And I get credit and (hopefully) a recommendation for grad school from it. I was so anxious (as I always am) about being interviewed and judged, but I’m glad I pushed myself through it. Can’t wait to get started!

According to my school it’s time to start research for college, basically i need to find a place with crew, pre-law and, pre-med. So, i guess it’s as good a time as ever.

Actually I’m researching plant communication. How things change! I am all the way done with the lab component (I had to stop at some point since I am attending classes and should probably do work for them, too, once in a while) and have begun some preliminary analysis. Fun.

On dodder! I may have successfully weasled my way into a research lab at my college – next semester may see me observing the effects of dodder (a very invasive, scary little vine – orange or yellow, no leaves, sends out “suckers” into its host plant) on tomato seedlings.
