How I did it: While in Oahu, I went to the Pearl Harbor memorial.  There was a long wait, but it was worth it.  It was very somber, but it is something I am glad I did.  It makes me remember, regardless of what side somebody is on or whether we agree with it, how much some individuals and families give up for their countries.

    I want to go to Hawaii anyway, but Pearl Harbor would be attraction enough for me to make the trip. I love history, and I am interested in WWII era Navy operations. It is impossible to not be fascinated with Pearl Harbor. I can’t decide what I am looking forward to most… seeing Arizona, the tragic beginning… or Missouri, the triumphant end. I am sure it will be an emotional experience.
