...and have all the ornaments and lights packed up properly, but I still have to get it back in the box and back into the closet. But I’m going to mark it as done anyways.
Even though I like real Christmas trees, they really make a mess if you leave them up too long, and are probably a fire hazard as well. And even though this artificial tree did shed a few artifical needles, I got them all vacuumed up, and the living room is back to normal. That’s a good thing.

Easter Tree
My mom decided to embrace the (yes, still standing) Christmas tree and hung plastic eggs full of treats all over the tree, stuck a plush bunny at the top, and called it the Easter tree. Now my nephews and niece can come over and choose eggs off the tree. Bizarre, but it works. :)

and the Christmas tree’s still up. All the decorations are off of it but I just haven’t gotten around to taking it down. It’s become like a nice, no-maintenance houseplant, standing in the corner all bristly. I don’t even really see it anymore, it’s just a part of the background. But it has to go. Before Wednesday. Because really, this is just ridiculous.

The room feels a little empty but it also clears up the clutter in the house. So that’s good.

As January draws on, I get more and more embarressed that the tree is up. That’s the “danger” of a fake tree, I guess… It’s not going to dry out, so there’s no rush to take it down.
Now… There’s the outside Christmas lights.
