I started no fast food two weeks ago. I work out four days a
week and I was not losing much weight. I decided to give up
fast food to see if that was the problem. So far it looks like
it was. I am making good progess and I do feel better.

I ate McDonald’s tonight, out of pure laziness. I didn’t want to re-clean the kitchen after dinner. :( I guess tomorrow restarts the month. I had 5 days down, too. I know that sounds terrible… But we are fast food nazis. :( I hate it.
So I almost got a soda and some fast food today. I went grocery shopping and the kids wanted something to eat. Well there’s a fast food place in the store. I did fight the urge to do the easy thing, and came home and we ate PB + Honey + Bananas with Soy Milk instead. Felt GREAT!!! :) I hope one day this will be automatic without thought…. Fast food is so disgusting.

I didn’t even notice that i just stopped going to fast food joints… as soon as i was working from home. At work, we always went out somewhere, needed to get away from the stress. Now, i have time to make a healthy snack or small meal when needed. Haven’t lost any weight though. And i feel like i’m missing all the fun.
Julie Can't wait to start over...
Eaten fast food for 4 years now!! I would say I feel healthier and I have less pimples on my face.
I’m giving this up, but not really. See, I rarely eat fast food anyway, but I don’t keep track of how often I eat it. Every now and then, it’s just a matter of convenience, and it’s not worth while for me to make a big deal out of it. I don’t eat fast food in my day-to-day life, and that’s good enough for me.
Well, I broke a good streak on Saturday afternoon. I’d been out running errands with my fiance and we really wanted to get to DC to see the Smithsonian, so we stopped by Wendy’s, and I got my favorite spicy chicken sandwich. I could’ve gotten a salad or something, but you know… I just didn’t care that much. It was convenient. It was tastey, and it got us to DC in time to do the museum and watch people all afternoon. This means I have to start over, but I don’t mind.
I usually forget about goals like this during the weekend because I don’t have a regular schedule, so I’ll be out around town and feel hungry and stop off for a burger. Not this weekend! I remembered to eat before going out to do errands, and when I did have to stop for food on the way home on Friday, I talked my fiance into going to La Madeline, so even though it wasn’t home-cooked food, it was still better than fast food!
Doing much better on this goal this time around. It’s day three with no fast food. Actually, if you count the first part of the week, It’s more like day 5 or more, but I only started counting three days ago. So far, so good.
