I have sent Djibrila two postcards from some days out – hopefully he will like the pictures as he is still very young!

I have sponsored a boy called Djibrila in Niger. I need to write to him more often!

Eorl and I sponsor a 6 year old girl named Deysi, in Nicaragua. I wrote to her when we first started to sponsor her, and I wrote her another letter today. I’ve had two letters from her- with pictures.
As a kid I really loved getting letters. And I would like to send Deysi letters more often, so that she can enjoy getting letters too.

I’ll definitely be doing this more often now.

Defined as one letter a week to anyone for any purpose or for no purpose at all other than to make special people feel special.
I’ll start this weekend. I have three pen pals who haven’t received letters from me in way too long.
EDIT: Changed this goal from “send more snail mail.”
While sorting through the mountainous pile of paper on my desk this weekend I discovered a letter from my new sponsor child. This gives me an idea about her life so I can respond to it in a letter. This week maybe…
I want to make a committment to write a least two letters per year to my new sponsor child in El Salvador. I will plan for her birthday and Christmas. Luckily, for the next five months I have a spanish speaking/writing co-worker who can help me with this goal.
