I finally started my first class: Library materials for secondary grades – (basically literature for young adults). So far, I love my class. It’s a lot of work, but I think I made the right decision in choosing library science for my masters.
How to get a master's degree in library science
How I did it: Went to Drexel on the Dean's fellowship and worked really hard. Although I was working 2-3 jobs while I was doing it, I still managed to do really well.

Okay, so I am going to take the GRE again and then apply to a few more then just the one school (College of St. Catherine.) I also realize that this is also due to economy, a coworker who is in the program had said that the MLIS had over 80 applicants. It’s a very small school. I will get into a program I just don’t know where, yet.

Okay, I took a practice GRE and I think I am going to take the plunge and sign up to take one several months from now so that I can have time to create a study schedule.
This is one of my ultimate goals, I’ve almost got my associate’s degree, now I need to make sure I have all of the requirements met in order to transfer to a university. From there it’s on to the Master’s. One step at a time, I guess.

My other passion in life aside from animals is reading. I have a huge library in my home and I drive friends and coworkers crazy discussing books.
BUT…..I can’t afford to go to school full-time w/o working and I found work terribly distracting to my undergrad degree.
BUT…..What if I don’t like it?
BUT….What if I regret not trying it?
I feel a bit stuck (and late in the process to be feeling this way…). A part of me sees that it’s important to describe and define exactly what I want and where I am going to whomever’s reviewing my applications, but secretly I’m not sure, and need to get to school to genuinely figure it out. Anyone else thinking about this balance of feigned certainty?

I just found out that the Registrar FINALLY posted my degree. So in all senses of the word, this is DONE!

Got the internship grade, confirmed that my paperwork was submitted correctly, and even found out that the state library has me on their list of confirmed graduates. SO! I’m done, right?
Well, yes. But for some reason I’m reluctant to take this goal down! I guess I’m still nervous about SOMETHING (don’t ask me what, I don’t know) going wrong. I want the diploma in my hands before I call this done! No telling how long that will take, though.
Voosk is wanting to
I’m giving up on this goal, because I’ve decided to devote myself fully to my music career, and not muddle things up with another degree I probably won’t use. My hat is tipped, though, to everyone pursuing a career in librarianship!
