be sociable at least twice a week

I’m doing this automatically now. Some weeks I get to do more social stuff than others – but that’s just how life goes :) Feels good to be putting this one on the completed list!

Today I got a message letting me know that one of my old housemates was having a party. I haven’t seen Rach since the start of the year, and don’t see each other too often. But I went over for a couple of hours after work and had a great time! This is the kind of thing I usually wouldn’t go to, because I get shy when I don’t know too many people – but I’m glad I went :)

Friday: Dinner at Damian’s family’s

I’ve got a few things planned over the next few days,
but so far this week….

Thursday: Spent a few hours with Penny and baby Mia
Friday: Dinner at Damian’s family’s

I really love this goal. It motivates me to get off my butt and spend more time with my friends – and I’m happier because of it :)

Saturday – Spent the day at Nic’s being girly and watching DVD’s. Love it.

I was so busy I was only technically sociable on one day…..but I was sociable for the entire day, so I think that still counts! Yesterday I went with Damian and his family for the day trip to visit my family on the farm! They all get along so darn well it’s kind of freaky – but awesome at the same time :) It was a really nice day, although I was a little bit family-fatigued by the end of it :)

Tuesday – Visiting Penny and baby Mia. This was so nice. Baby Mia is so gorgeous and Penny is an amazing Mum. She’s so tiny and cute!

Friday: Damian’s family came over for dinner
Saturday: We went over to Damian’s family’s for dinner (I’m on family overload)
Sunday: Damian had some mates over

I’ve been too busy to catch up with my friends this week unfortunately. But we’ve been in touch, and hopefully next week will be better.

......I’ve spent a lot of time with my best friend Nic and it’s been awesome. Yesterday she came over for a couple of hours and we just chilled out in front of the TV and were generally sloth-like and loved it. And today we went to the farmers markets and the Powerhouse together! It was sooooo much fun, I’m lucky to have such a great friend.

Last night I went around to my friend Nic’s house for drinking games and general craziness. I had so much fun. Needless to say, much alcohol was consumed which was amplified by a walk to the pub to meet up with more friends. Simply awesome. I love my friends, particularly when they’re drunk :)
I am so grateful for caffeine this morning

....my friends Nic, Brenton and Erin came over and we ate chinese and played poker and card games. It was so fun…..we’ve all known each other for years and it’s so great to have people that you can just be yourself around round. And we organised meeting up for drinking games Sunday night, which will be my 2nd social thing for the week. Hooray!
