I went part time to community college for 3 years to get my paralegal certificate. Sometimes I had to take a few terms off to wait for a needed class to come along. But eventually with perseverance, I did it! I have worked several legal assistant jobs along the way. And now I have my own office with my paralegal certificate on the wall. I am so proud when my boss calls me his paralegal! 3 years ago

I am getting a perfect A in my legal document preparation class so far. My civil litigation course is a little more daunting. Good news, I feel very good about the midterm I took in civil litigation last night. 6 years ago

I have been in paralegal school at FDU since the summer of this year. I currently work at a small law firm for very little pay and figured that becoming a paralegal would be the right step in a direction to more money. That or I am so close to selling myself on the street because this is insane! I am done in April of ’06 and it is a struggle, I have to write a huge brief due in two weeks for the first time. I wouldn’t mind the classes if I wasn’t so stressed from work and then going to class for 3 hours 3 times a week. Well I am in the school and 6 months away from finishing this. So say goodbye to my social life for a few months I didn’t really have one to begin with…lol. 7 years ago

This goal is actually a step in the right direction for my Law School Goal. You see, it goes like this:
Get a job in a law office (check)
Go back to school and get paralegal cert
Become paralegal
Be the best damn paralegal I can be
Get recommendations for law school (cause lord knows my GPA and LSATs alone won’t cut it)
Go to law school
Be an attorney (although I haven’t decided what kind yet.) 8 years ago
