Next week sometime I’m going to my doc to see about perscriptions I can take to help me with this.
Brian Leach is bored
How I did it: I was going out of town for the weekend and I figured the change of environment would disassociate my daily routines that include smoking such as driving to work, and smoking while at work. It worked - I went 3 days without smoking and returned home. The first week was a bit tough not smoking at work so I changed my lunch habit by enjoying a nice lunch instead of venturing outside and smoking a couple of cigarettes. The second … Read how I did it…

..It’s the staying quit. I quit for over a year one time. I’ve quit for a few months in a row. It’s the staying quit that dosn’t seem to stick. My husband smokes, my father smokes. It’s hard to be a non smoker around them. A lot of our talking rituals seem focased around these terrible cancer sticks. The husband is going on Deploy to Korea, so I’m getting the Chantes (Sp?) and trying again. I know I’ll be okay, ‘cause I’m moving out to be close to my mother in law and she dosn’t smoke. So- I’ll be okay out there. When we get our Follow on the England, I’m hoping I can keep my new non-smoking habit. I’m hoping I can talk the hubs into quitting again (he wants to, but he dosn’t want to.. you know how that is)
xxprettyPOODLExx Theres no denying that im pretty damn cool =D

wellity well then, i appear to be doing fine =] no cravings. No more stinky face anastasia =D..ima not check this one off until the 6 month mark either (the person below me is on the right track with that-congrats btw) because last time i checked it off after a month i ended up smoking not too soon after =S.
so id say im at around 3 weeks, but i had to ask my b/f because im not really counting.

i’m feeling great about this. i’ve been around a number of smokers, even while drinking heavily, and was able to remain vigilant. i honestly think i have this thing whipped! no real cravings to speak of either. life is good.
free at last!

I’m done. I haven’t had cravings for ciggerettes so I am considering this complete. Smoking is now considered ‘grosse’ to me!

so far so good. i passed a pretty big test last weekend. after having copious amounts of bourbon and being around smokers all evening, i did not break down and smoke. i think i can attribute this to the “no, not even one” mentality. i’m going to wait for at least 6 months to mark this as “done” though. i realize that i need to stay vigilant!!
