Yaay! 3 days ago

Well today I am on my third day cigarette free! I am super proud of myself because I am around my husband pretty much most of my day and he smokes and I haven’t picked up a cig yet! I am using the patch and it is working great. This time I am going to go through ALL the steps with the patch and actually use it like I’m supposed to. Last time I just use Step 1 and Step 2 and then quit using the patch all together. I quit for 6 months but hey I went back so maybe if I use the patch the whole time then it will be easier for me to quit for good.

Had two smokes yesterday. Had a class that I can’t stand (Public Speaking) so I ended up smoking:( Gonna try today not to relapse and have ANY cigs.

Started smoking again:( 1 week ago

I started smoking again on the 4th of July. It was barbecue, liquor and of course I had to pick up cigs again:( So here I am trying to quit again and this time its much harder. I’m going to try to quit tommorrow. I’m going to use the patch again. Hopefully this time I can make this permanent!

Step 2 1 week ago

Today is my first day with the Step 2 patches. So far, so good. Yay! I have a handful of these left over from the last time I tried to quit smoking. I’ll need to go get a new box of them this weekend though. The end of the patch road is in sight I think…

...as of today. I have one more high-juice patch and then I’m dropping to the mediums. I still think of smoking once in awhile, but generally it’s first thing in the morning before I have my patch on. lol I don’t missing smoking hugely at this point, and there are a lot of benefits to not smoking. For one, I’m glad I’m not always looking for my next opportunity. I seem to be getting more done too.

It'll be... 2 weeks ago

...ONE MONTH this Sunday!!! Going to try and step down to the 14mg patches (step 2) rather than put in another two weeks at 21mgs. I’m hoping the fact that I didn’t smoke for big chunks of this past year will make that more feasible. (?)

It'll be two full months on the 9th again!! 2 weeks ago

I’m excited! I thought I was doomed this time around! It’s not even on my radar. Actually, the smell of it made me sick the other day which has NEVER happened to me. I still on occasion see someone smoking and it looks good to me… ; ) but not good enough to risk having to go through withdrawal again!!!! Ugh! IT’s the WORST.
