The weather is nice, my board’s in my car. The flip flops hinder it.
emo_crazed is going to fall in love soon! (i hope)
I would like to start to skateboard because i think it would be fun and i would enjoy it.
I love using skateboarding as a workout. It beats the gym any day! I have gotten pretty comfy with the double stride and next week I am going to start practicing going natural foot (I am a goofy footer) as a way to work on balance and motor skills. I will be in the parking lot for that one!

Finally i did this, but it was last year in the not-winter. I will start again soon!
Last night L3 and I went to the Santa Monica beach to exercise. She ran and I boarded. It took me a little while to get a swing of it again, but started going pretty fast towards the end (I was trying to push L3 to run faster and faster). For a cool down she walked and I tried to skate switch foot…it was like learning to walk again. But I have a feeling working on those motor skills would be really good for me :-)
So, yesterday I was headed to the beach to surf, but after I had packed everything, I remembered I hadn’t packed my leash. So I ran around like crazy for 20 minutes, but it is gone. I called my friends I was supposed to meet, and told them to count me out.
I was so bummed, and really wanted to be outside. So I mustered up the courage to take out the skateboard for the first time in years and ride in the streets of Venice. I am not particularly good at this, so I was a little worried about cars and looking stupid.
Don’t know if I did look stupid, but I ended up down at the front walk. First I stayed away, because there are so many people on the front walk, but after a couple of blocks, I turned across a plaza and went for it. I glided by Harry Perry who said “Hola” (enough to make my day). I ended up by the Venice pier and found my friends. They said the surfing was just sucky, so I didn’t miss out much.
Today, I did the same thing all over again (minus Harry), and I think next week-end I might be ready to hold a bottle of water while skating. I will check off this goal once I can go get coffee and skate with it home after a couple of sips.
I’ve slacked off in my skating lately, mostly because no one around here skates anymore. I find it much more pleasurable to skate with others. Two years ago I was skating all day, every day. Now, I skate maybe once a week or so. Time to start skating more!
