Go to the aquarium

My godmother took me all the time but I don’t have any memories to show for it. Then I went to the aquarium while I was a summer camp counselor which reawakened my joy of sea life. I think its so funny that I love fish and the water but I didn’t know how to swim for such a long time. Now the two can meld together nicely since I have learned how to swim. I just need to take the day and go down there! I would love it! But my love for the aquarium is probably attached to the warmth and love I feel for my godmother. I can’t wait! I just have to plan it!

After deciding that this has waited far too long, Sherry and I were going to take Isak tomorrow & then go out for a pint with our mutual aquarium employed friend (he called earlier about signing us in), but there was a news story last night on this being one of the top places to go during spring break, which means it’ll be absolutely ripe with crowds tomorrow. We’re going to wait a week and go on a quieter day… but soon. SOON!

It turns out that an old friend (who recently got in touch with us again) is now the carpenter for the Vancouver Aquarium and can sign us in for guest passes any time we want – I’m thoroughly excited about this! Maybe we can make it a double family outing, we’ve been wanting to get together and meet each others kids!

My wonderful, lovely parents offered to take Isak to the aquarium while I’m on the mend. Something new and fun and interesting that he’s never done before. The only problem is… I want to go too! I always found the aquarium to be such a magical place and I want to be there to see his eyes light up with all the fascinating things he’s never seen before. Is that awful and selfish? I’ve been wanting to take him for so long. Maybe I can arrange this as one of my first outings & we can all go together in a week or so… (guiltguiltguilt)

If you ever have a chance to I suggest the Atlanta Aquarium. I have always been proud of the Aquarium we have in Baltimore and even before I went into the Atlanta Aquarium I was talking trash about how Baltimore was the best. After visiting the Atlanta Aquarium I had to admit it was awesome.

New England Aquarium was not quite was what I was expecting, but it still had a special magic to it…

I haven’t been back there since I was little. Not too long ago my boyfriend brought up that he wanted to go to the aquarium also. They’ve added a new addition to it since I’ve last been there many many years ago. Hopefully we’ll go soon!

havent been for yonks and would like to go back! just need the time and motivation to travel to the place. need to call my friends and start organising it..

The Vancouver Aquarium.

I’ve been a number of times before, but not for years. This has been something we’ve wanted to do together, but was a bit over our budget.

Paul’s parents sent us a check for Christmas (to do something with the family), so I thought this might be a good option.

I LOVE the aquarium… all the gorgeously coloured fish, the dreamy belugas, the sharks, the wall of jellyfish, ooooh… yes. I think Isak will be fascinated. I don’t know when we’ll get the chance, but it’s definitely going on the list.

The aquarium local to me wasnt exactly what I expected. It only took a couple of hours to go thru. But would have been excellent if it wasnt a 4 hour trip to get there. She loved it and that was the best part about it!
