Love is what connects us all, all living things. Love is an energy that has real effects in the material world. The more love there is, the less need there is for crime, terrorism, war or oppression. The more I can love, not in some romantic, Hollywoodish, sappy way, but in the solid, reliable, everyday way of a parent who changes yet another poopy diaper or wipes one more runny nose, the more I am actually changing the energy in the world that moves us in the direction of self-destruction.
