So. The story of Mariah and Ethan.
I met him in grade seven, and I had a huge crush on him even though we had only been introduced and had never spoken other then that. His school went to Ste-Anne’s at the same time as mine, and Katherine was going to see if he would dance with me but I wouldn’t let her, so she tried to set him up with Jess S. but that never worked out. Later on, Ethan’s mom became my sunday school teacher, and we would have classes at their house. And that’s pretty much it. I’ve been going to Ethan’s house for “God Squad” for 2 years now, and he is my best guy friend. My feelings for him have changed a lot, I don’t like him in a let’s-go-make-out way, that’s for sure! He’s like my brother, my muffin! And I’m his cupcake :). He’s one of my best friends, and his smile lights up my life, no matter what.
So, we go to different schools, and I need a date to my junior prom, so I am planning on asking him. We don’t get to see each other that often anymore, usually only on Sundays, but this Saturday him, his brother (Who is also like my brother), some other people from our sunday school class are coming over to my house to come swimming, and I plan on asking him then. I’m going to try to ask him when we’re alone, if we ever are. But I am SOOOOOO nervous! It’s not so much that I think he’ll say no, ‘cause I know he’ll say yes, but it’s just that I don’t want him to go even though he doesn’t want to. Plus, the whole wearing a bathing suit while asking him out thing isn’t ideal :). I’m trying to figure out what to say, but I don’t know what to do and I am super nervous!
I know if I don’t do it, I will regret it A LOT. Ethan is moving at the end of July to the other side of the country, and I’ll miss him a lot. I’m really nervous to ask him (Well I guess it’s obvious by now!). Advice, anyone? Words of wisdom?
