Today: I started the 2-week Special K plan. I know, it’s a gimmick to get me to buy more Special K stuff, but I always fail at this goal because I don’t have a well-formatted plan. Now I do. We’ll see how it goes. Day 1 was successful.

Where did the time go? I’m really going to have to take this seriously for the next couple of weeks. Really! This time, I either do it for real or I cross it off my list and forget about it.

For some reason, losing just a little weight seems even harder than losing a lot of weight. I once lost 30 pounds, and it was easier to stick to my plan because I knew I really needed to do it. But of course I gained 10 pounds back later on. I’d like to lose about 7 pounds and get back to where I like to be, but it never quite happens because when it’s only a few pounds it’s never quite urgent enough. So-now my goal is to stick to the exercise plans I’ve made for myself, and lose those 7 pounds by March. There-it’s a concrete goal, and achievable!

June 19 – Down to 212 today, despite entertaing last night. Ran 4 times in the past week and did Pilates several times as well. The combination of regualar exercise and some restrain in what I eat and drink seems to be working. (What a revelation!) I really need to keep it up and be under 210 next Monday.
It also feels great to be getting back in shape, even if I don’t yet look it.
