Today I went in for a tour and an interview. I will basically be visiting residents and doing nails. =) Just imagine that even a little bit of time can make their day. I want to know how it feels to touch someones life.

Mrs. Haynes called me back today, and we set up an interview Thursday after noon at 3:00 PM. That means I can go from there to work easily. I also plan to take my permit test that morning.

I went in today to learn how things are done. Primarily, it’s cleaning out stalls, buckets, and feeding. I was kind of hoping there’d be grooming too.

Basically, the scheduling is difficult with my work hours, and I didn’t really enjoy the fact I had to deal with three 12 year olds. I just… horses aren’t really my niche.

I sent her an email thanking her for her time and concern though. Now I’m just waiting for an email back from Mrs. Haynes at Manatawny Manor. 6 years ago

I like volunteering its fun. I volunteered in a hospital two years ago it was fun. I dead people didn’t scare me or anything. 6 years ago

The email that I sent to Mrs. Clark at Spring Creek Farms sent me an email back that basically said I could volunteer there. I emailed her back letting her know about Wendy’s, and also that I have off this upcoming Friday, should that be a good day to come in and see how things are. 6 years ago

I’ve left a phone message for the volunteer department at Manatawny Manor, and old folks place.

I’ve also emailed the woman in charge of Spring Creek Farms, a horse place apparently. I have previous experience in that area, so that might be good.

Now we just have to see what happens, and I have to remember to check my emails! 6 years ago

Mom said she would email a horse farm with a volunteer program, and I have to email the old person’s home to see if they want some help.

I realize that I want to improve myself. Besides, some good for others will look good on a college application. I want to do something this summer. 6 years ago
