Flazzle wishes there was something higher than 10 on the morale-o-meter! :)
When I check #3 off my list (figure out what I want to do with my life), I imagine that this one will fall into place.

Well…tommorrow I’ll go to this climbing store, where I might be working from now on. I hope that they take me and I hope I’ll be good at it and enjoy it :)
But It’s really a great job…10 minutes from my home (on foot!), pays great and – I love climbing, hiking and travelling. Working hours are not fixed, so I have a say in when I’m working… And also – they have all this great ‘dog gear’ :D
Keeping my fingers crossed:P
After years of existential dread I was begining to believe that knowing what I “wanted to be when I grow up” was an unrealistic goal. I always worked hard to improve my education and increase my skills but I couldnt find a job that fit my peculiar vision of an ideal career. After years of having two and sometimes three jobs at a time I am finally in a job i LOVE. Not just, dont loathe waking up in the morning for, but REALLY LOVE. The job I wanted didnt exist – so I created it. Wrote my own job description, persuaded my boss that it was a great idea, and now I do exactly what I want. From that experience I learned that its possible to create your own ideal. Now I’ve starting working weekends and evenings in a non-profit that I helped create. I never expected to have so much satisfaction with my life! If you dont see the job you want out there – make it. Use your strengths and challenge yourself to live according to your ideals. Passion inspires people and boldness creates opportunity. Your job doesnt need to be the major source of meaning in your life – but if you can unite them it makes earning a living a pleasure.
Well since resolving to do this I’ve gotten a job I thoroughly enjoyed working at a summer camp for 10 weeks but then for the last 5 months I also worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant which sucked. I’ve decided if I ever get another job and I feel emotionally abused by the boss I’m going to quit unless the wages are obscenely good.
I really like my job this summer. Hopefully I can work there again next summer! Unless I have something else to do. It’s really easy though, and everyone’s nice, and it’s enjoyable 98% of the time.
I’m getting a GED, I’m 19, I’ve had two jobs so far.. One I really liked, I was working at Blossom Music Center and I got to clean up the dressing rooms after so many famous bands/people.. it was cool!! ..BUT it was seasonal (only in the summer) Then I worked at Walgreens.. it was ok, but I ended up quiting after 8 months.. Now I haven’t had a job since then (its been a year) and I REALLY NEED ONE!! I’m just so picky, don’t want to waitress, don’t want to do retail, don’t want to have anything with food.. so I just don’t know!
I finally got a job that I like!! All it took was a little persistence, and a ton of craigslisting!!
I know that I am still young, but I should not be a job that I dread going to on a daily basis. I want to find a job that I not only enjoy, but that pays well.
