How to meet Frank Iero
It made me
awestruck!

How I did it: I'm somewhat of a maniac when it comes to My Chemical Romance. I'm one of those freaks in the sleeping bags who spends the night in front of the venue they're playing at. Me and my friends dress up in blood covered dresses and suits and ties for shows, like its Halloween or something. My family has rescheduled their vacation so I could go see them in a different state. I've forked over hundreds of dollars for last minute seats.
Being this creepy and stalker-like, I knew it would only be a matter of time before I got to meet them in person.
Getting there early is crucial. You don't have to stay overnight (in fact you might get in trouble for it) but coming 2-3 hours before a show is a really good idea if you want any chance at getting an early meet and greet.
Most of the shows I've been to, though, they've been late to, so don't rely on this method.
Go to local coffee shops and comic stores before the show. They do actually hang out there.
In general just keep an eye out for big buses, especially ones that drive around the back.
There will be security guards and they don't let you stand there the entire time, but you can hug him or whatever then move to the side.
It isn't a very surreal feeling to me, because he looks/acts in person just like he does in interviews. Its just weird afterwards when you realize you've just met one of your idols.
Lessons & tips: Make this experience better for Frank and for all of us fans and don't
be annoying and freaky when you meet him. Shake his hand, be mature,
and move on. Don't do stupid shit like scream or omigosh. It just makes
all of us look bad.

Lol…. I just wanna meet him.. say hi… ask him to sign some pictures I drew of him, tell him My Chemical Romance saved my life… idk… lol… and… that’s it….

I went to the MCR show a few days ago at Saltaire in Utah April 11, 2008.
I waited in line starting at 7am.
Frankie came out to meet fans at about 3 pm or so and I didnt think I wanted to go over but my friend pulled me over so she could say hello. I didnt grab my camera or something for him to sign.
When he got to me, we talked for a second and he gave me a really sweet hug. He was not feeling good and looked and sounded really sad, but was really kind for coming out anyhow.
During the show, Gerard said they wouldnt come out after the show because they had to leave for Mexico…but I went by the bus afterwards anyhow.
Guess who came back? Yep, Frankie!
And this time, I had some paper for him to sign.
We talked for a moment and he gave me another hug.
He even took the present I had for Gee for his b-day to him, which was really sweet..
Frankie is a really great boy!

At Newcastle.
I’ve met Frank twice now and he’s the most awesome dude ever.
I met him in Glasgow, on the 27th of March 2007.
I’d waited outside since the concert ended and Frank came out at round about 12ish.
He was really sweet and chatted with us for about an hour, which was nice because it was freezing!
Afterwards, we waited out till roughly 3 in the morning and no one else came out which was nice.
I wante to meet Ray to!
Frank’s my Idol though so i was sooooo happy and excited.
The second time i met him was three days ago, in Newcastle, on the 11th of November 07. It was my birthday!
So, again, i waited out since the end of the gig and no surprises Frankie came out again.
He signed another autograph for me and i got pictures and videos in one of which he wished me a happy birthday!
After that, Frank left and i waited outside until roughly..
2, when everyone else had left.
I seen Ray Toro over standing by the bus but he just obviously couldn’t be bothered so i went off home extremely happy but kinda gutted that most members of My Chemical Romance just “don’t have the time” to come out and speak with their fans anymore.
My advice for people wanting to meet My Chem is, don’t get your hopes up if you want to meet Gee or anything, chances are you wont but then you might :P.
I think that Frank comes out at like.. Most gigs so if you wanna meet him, push your parents to let you stay out that little bit longer, you might just see a small, cute dude, walking over!

I was 10 minutes away from meeting Frank. He’s My Idol. I went too cee MCR at Manchester for my birthday and all I wanted was too meet Frank. I waited outside for an hour and a half then my Mum was moaning ant me so I had to go. My friend later told me that Frank was the only one who came out and she met him and has a picture with him. I cried.

It is my goal in life to meet the whole band. They are my heroes, my saviors. They have saved my life too many times to count and I forever love them with my whole heart. I just got to go to a concert and see then play live and tell them how much they mean to me, I’ll be happy. I won’t want anything else out of life but for it to happen again.
