It made me
feel amazing. 
How I did it: After loving The Used since 2002, I finally got to see them play at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. After the show, I was dead tired, and all I wanted to do was buy a t-shirt, and leave. I felt like there was no way we were going to meet them, because they had to be in Florida the next day. But, my best friend Kitten had other plans. We walked to the back of the venue, which was a pretty long walk considering where we were parked. We waited with at least seventy other fans, and made small talk with one of them. She had loved them since 2002, for the most part, too. Then one of the bouncers, or whatever you wanna call 'em, came out and said that we could meet the band. So we waited. Ten minutes passed. Twenty. Thirty. We almost waited an hour, and the only person that came out was Jeph Howard! I was in awe, I couldn't say a thing. By this time, there were a few of us left. Real fans that don't mind waiting in the rain, the cold, and don't mind standing on their feet after being thrown around in multiple moshpits, rammed into by idiot strangers, or kicked in the face by flailing crowd surfers. I just stood there, romancing myself in his beauty, as weird as that sounds. But, I mean, c'mon, JEPH HOWARD WAS LESS THAN TEN FEET AWAY! And I couldn't even get the words out, to say hello. Thankfully, Kitten was brave enough to call his attention as he walked back toward the bus. "Wait! My friend needs to meet you!" And he walks back over and tells us to speak louder. I laugh in my head, because I can't even speak, to speak louder. I ask him to sign my ticket stub timidly. And while he's bearing down on the t-shirt I wadded up so he can write, I tell him, "I've been waiting since 2002 to meet you." And that's it. He looks up, gives a smile, and says, "That's a long fucking time." And it clicks. It clicks in my head that, that is a long fucking time. And I want to cry all the tears of happiness I can. But I keep composure so we can take a picture together. He places his arm around me first, then just rests his hand on my shoulder for the actual picture. I'm never washing the shirt I wore that night, as gross as that may be. It's tucked neatly away in my closet. It's my good luck shirt. Anyways, he walks away from us, and I watch him open the door and he disappears. Kitten turns to me with a giant smile on her face. Before she can say anything, I repeat him, "That IS a long fucking time." And I cling to her, and I cry a little. Not boo-hoo, but tears find their way down my face that's already wet from the drizzling going on around us. We walk back to the car, and she stops when we're getting over the hill. "You just met Jeph Howard," Kitten says. And I lose it. I cry, and she puts her arm around me and she tells me I deserved it. That I deserve to be happy, and that I deserved for that to happen after all these years of loving them. And that makes me want to cry more, but I find some way to suck it up and laugh at myself for being such a goof. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

I met Jepha at the used/alexisonfire show in ottawa, on Sept.11th.
He was wandering around looking for a starbucks. He took a picture with my friend and I and he was just really really nice. He’s soo cute in person. Also if u try to meet him don’t go with big crowds, he doesn’t like being swarmed.

I met Jeph and Quinn this weekend at The Used / Alexisonfire show in London. He is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, because he talks to you like a regualr person not as a fan. He signed stuff and posed for pic with me and wrote “yo cracka” on my bracelet. He was actually joking around with me and my friends and drew tattoos just like his on our arms, honestly he’s a fucking great guy! And Quinn was sooo nice too, he remembered me from the front row and thanked us for coming. fucking great guys! 7 years ago
