Day 9 Resolution: take walks
Progress:
I hadn’t been focusing on this as a resolution, per se, but I’ve been walking more in the evenings which is something I always want to be doing. We got into the habit of taking Sadie on walks, at least some of the time, for reasons of necessity (messes in the house at night). It has been really pleasant. Not sure how it’ll hold up over the winter.
Challenges:
Remembering to, not leaving it till it’s late, not feeling like it’s a waste of time to walk instead of (chores, work, running).
Affirmation:
I’ve been including this in my plan for the day, as a fitness note. Even though I don’t get to it every day, having it there asserts that it’s important and gives me something to “check off” when I do it so it feels like an accomplishment and is less likely to be affected by feeling like I “should” be doing some other thing.
Next steps:
Pay attention to opportunities to walk more today, since I probably won’t be able to tonight. 2 months ago
